ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

What is FEDE?

The Federation for Education in Europe (FEDE) is an international non-governmental organization with participatory status in the Council of Europe, present in 39 countries. With over 50 years of experience and a network of nearly 500 higher education and professional training institutions, FEDE promotes a modern education model oriented toward the real demands of the labor market.

The President of FEDE is also the President of the Education and Culture Commission within the Council of Europe—a position that gives the organization direct influence in the architecture of the European higher education area.

UVVG IN FEDE

A three-decade connection

Since 1992, “Vasile Goldiș” Western University of Arad has been a FEDE member. Prof. Dr. Aurel Ardelean, Founding President and Rector of UVVG, served as Vice President of the organization. Since 2019, Prof. Dr. Coralia Adina Cotoraci, Rector and President of the Board of Directors of UVVG, has assumed this position—Vice President of FEDE.

Examinations organized according to European Union and Council of Europe standards are directly accessible to UVVG students through the university’s FEDE Department.

EUROPEAN CERTIFICATES

What can you obtain through FEDE at UVVG?

Through the university’s FEDE Department, UVVG students have access to preparation for two types of internationally recognized European certificates.

 

Language proficiency certificates for French have been recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research since 2019. They can be obtained exclusively at UVVG and are included in the list of certificates accredited by the Francophonie Institute for Education and Training.

CCE Certificate

European Culture and Citizenship

Useful in any field practiced in the European area. The course includes a chapter on legislative systems and the fight against corruption. UVVG was the first institution in Romania to introduce this course—starting in the 2019–2020 academic year.

LVE Certificate

Language Proficiency – levels B1 and B2

Certification of foreign language knowledge according to CEFR, recognized throughout Europe. One of the basic requirements for employment both in Romania and in any European country.

INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMAS

FEDE offers over 120 different diplomas structured in 12 programs of excellence, developed by and for experts in their respective fields. These diplomas are recognized throughout the FEDE network—500 institutions in 39 countries—and represent a real advantage for an international career.

PROFESSIONAL MOBILITY

Sponsored Professional Internship Program (PEPS)

Students enrolled in FEDE specialization courses at UVVG can benefit from the Sponsored Professional Internship Program (PEPS).
